Here's a link to an inflatable roof rack that people use to transport kayaks. I've seen the product and it looks solid, but I've never tried them. Straps are made of strong webbing (like seatbelts) and run all the way around the inside of the roof rather than just hook into the gutters like a typical soft rack. The inflatable part is fairly heavy duty as well. I have a friend that used these for a 10' SUP on her Prius.
