Hey all,
I talked with mike Perry last night and heard a lot of good news regarding Giles, he has come out of another surgery and now it looks like he is going to be going into physio to make things work, he is able to use one hand to hold the phone but still very tired. The general opinion is he will be back to normal it will just take a little time to make things work right.
Mike is busy coordinating all the support he can with the hospital staff, He asks that we not try to get hold of giles at the hospital as it detracts from the attention care givers duties to giles. He is making sure giles is aware of all his friends support.
As of this moment giles has made a coherent decision that this hospital is where he wants to be, the staff are very competent in his opinion and he is getting great care! We anticipate him being there for a little while longer and when he gets stronger he will give us a personal reply via email, I requested to get a picture of him so we may feel more at ease and If giles allows it, it will be forth coming subject to computer access.
Also I am glad to hear of all the research everyone has done and it looks like we have the embassy involved now!!
As info comes in I will post both what I have and ad new concerned persons emails to this list. I feel confident that all is going well but all your support is greatly appreciated!!!!
Till tomorrow approx same time. Take care and keep him in your prayers.

JP-Perry here mate;
I've just spoken with Giles (woke him up actually) and he sounds very good.
He tires in 1-2 minutes and has to hang up, but that is certainly understandable.
I asked him for your bona fides and he said you were a very stand-up individual, etc. and so I'm now completely comfortable turning over the 'Giles Fan Club' newsletter to your capable hands.
Please understand; I wanted to know that it was a GOOD friend who was handling this . Not an acquaintance.
Stoked for the help as I can now focus on getting the medical and other issues sorted.
It must be Hell for you guys over there. It is Hell for us and we're far closer BUT...there is progress.
His doctor has told him that the surgery went very well so now we move into rehab and coming back to Earth.
Physio will be back in shortly. Their physio team has been in every day.
Best regards,
Mike Perry
