Hey All,
I talked with The G man last night as did mike perry, Giles is sounding like the injuries are healing and he can use the phone. For the most part he sounded good but is bothered why this happened and he is doing a little self reflection right now. Hence the reason why he needs a little time to himself. From what I gathered is that he needs to re affirm his base of where he stands in this world and reaffirm his priorities and really understand his mortality.
He is super stoked with all the support he is getting from every one, and with him being such a strong independent person I got the feeling it is hard for him to accept that sometimes you have to let others carry your burden, which all of us are willing to do for him.
He is getting out of the hospital today and promised to get an email out to us in the next week. As of right now the plans of what he will do as to coming home or staying there are on the fence. It sounded like once he can get out and get some exercise and really start to get back to the old Giles he will be able to focus more and let us know.
Now this is just me talking and it’s just a feeling I got from knowing him, he said he did not want anyone to make any special trips down right now, but I got the feeling if anyone is in the area of the Rebak marina he would not be bothered if you were to stop by later on this week to say hi.
Well that’s all for now, I will be waiting to get his new phone number in the next day or so to get reports of the new digs so tomorrows info may be a little light.
By the way Giles requested that if anyone can do some research about a US boater last year who was injured the same way last year and research the internet for any info about it he would really appreciate it as he wants to make sure it was not a friend or someone he knew.

He said he wants to say hi to everyone but was having some trouble with figuring how.
I've told him to type up a brief email and then, using your email list, send a mass reply. I'll guide him if he has any trouble.
A US physio (female) just happens to be offering up to 3 months free service for him at the marina. She met Geoff and Helen there last week and heard about the Giles story and volunteered to pitch in.
She is supposed to be: "One of the finest physios' from the US and she specializes in industrial accidents involving the elbow."
Talk about lucky!!
