Having had the priviledge and honor of paddling the late and truly great Richard Clark's (Pete Peterson built) 1958 (raced 1960) Stock 14', in the 2005 Catalina Race, I say more wood. That 50 lb board, 50 years after the first Classic moved with an elegance that makes that race one of my all-time paddling highlights. More wood.
